Linda Revell has been a key resource for our family for over 25 years!  We’ve had two residences over that time ,  a home in Sudbury and a condominium in Wayland.  Sudbury major renovations included gutting the kitchen/den, dining room, master bedroom, and three bathrooms with significant architectural changes to the living room.  She was involved early in the planning stages of all projects and contributed valuable building suggestions on kitchen layout, selection of countertops, bathroom tiles, built-ins, mantels, and decorative moldings.  In Wayland, Linda helped with a home office and master bath renovation by lending her expertise to custom built-ins, floor plan design, tile, and countertop selection.  Her experience both in the building and design industries was extremely valuable to us.

One of the main reasons we hired Linda in both residences was to help develop a color scheme that would flow through our homes.  We were pleased with her quick grasp of our taste and careful selection of beautiful fabrics that determined the colors to be used.  As all projects progressed, she was called on to help with paint color selection, lighting fixtures, carpeting, and accessories.  In every instance, we found her creative instincts and sensitivity to our needs to be a real bonus in helping us move the project at hand to completion.

We then proceeded to furniture and window treatments.  At this stage, Linda shared her many resources and collective client experiences to help us choose pieces that would function in the space as well as be aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. A comfortable feeling was the goal.  Our current living room deserves special mention as it meshes all the components of good design:  function, creativity, comfort, style, and beauty.  A custom-designed coffee table by one of Linda’s vendors is the anchor of the room and a testimony to her skills.

The last step in the process, accessorizing, was a fun, staged event.  (We’ve done this four times in two residences!)  Linda and a colleague gathered art, lamps, greenery, and interesting pieces to accent our décor, arrived on site, and strategically placed the new objects without allowing us to peek until all was complete.  The finished effect was magical.  The carefully selected items added a dimension just as critical as the right floor plan or cabinets; they completed the task of evolving the new spaces into a warm, inviting home.

I would recommend Linda without hesitation.  For our family, she is one of a core group of professionals that is consulted before any home project is initiated.  She balances genuine warmth and enthusiasm for her work and a desire to serve her clients well.  Her competence, knowledge, and wealth of experience add tremendous value to all her work.

I don’t know what I would have done without Linda.
